Looking For Support With A Disc-Related Concern?
Many people come to us because they're experiencing:
Low back pain or stiffness
Numbness or altered sensation
Recurring episodes of back pain
Pain extending into the buttock or leg
Discomfort with sitting
Symptoms affecting everyday activities
Tingling or pins and needles
Pain with certain movements
A previous disc finding on an MRI or scan
LiveLoveLife Chiropractic is located in Woollahra and welcomes people from across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs experiencing back pain and related musculoskeletal concerns.
Dr Xavier Mirouze takes the time to understand where your symptoms are occurring, how they began, what makes them better or worse and whether there are any signs that further medical assessment may be appropriate.
Understanding Bulging & Herniated Discs
Spinal discs sit between the vertebrae and play an important role in the movement and function of the spine. Terms such as bulging, protruding or herniated disc describe different changes that can occur within or around a disc.
Disc changes can sometimes be associated with back pain or nerve-related symptoms, but imaging findings do not always explain exactly why someone is experiencing pain. Disc changes may also be found in people who have no symptoms.
This is why Dr Xavier considers your symptoms, health history, examination findings and any relevant imaging together rather than treating an MRI or scan result in isolation.
Where further medical assessment or imaging may be appropriate, Dr Xavier can discuss the appropriate next step with you.
