FAQ
Why do my aches keep returning?
Recurring aches can have many contributing factors, including posture, stress, physical strain, previous injuries and how your nervous system adapts to daily life.
While symptoms may settle for a time, they can return if the underlying patterns remain unchanged.
Our approach focuses on understanding the whole person rather than simply chasing symptoms, helping you move with greater ease and resilience.
Is posture connected to pain?
Posture can influence how your body moves and manages physical load, but it's rarely the only reason someone experiences discomfort.
Factors such as stress, muscle tension, movement habits and nervous system function may also play a role.
During your consultation, Dr Xavier assesses how these factors work together to create a personalised care plan that supports your overall wellbeing.
Do you use forceful adjustments?
No. Dr Xavier provides gentle chiropractic care and offers Network Spinal Care, which uses light contacts along the spine rather than forceful manipulation or cracking.
Where appropriate, he may also use Activator Methods® or Diversified Chiropractic, selecting the technique that best suits your needs, comfort and goals. Every treatment is tailored to the individual.
Which chiropractic technique do you use?
Dr Xavier uses a range of evidence-informed chiropractic techniques to suit each individual.
His primary focus is Network Spinal Care, a gentle approach that supports nervous system awareness and adaptability. He also uses Activator Methods® and Diversified Chiropractic when appropriate.
Rather than using the same technique for everyone, care is personalised based on your health history, examination findings and goals.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You do not need a GP referral to visit us as a private patient. You're welcome to book your Initial Consultation directly with our Woollahra studio.
If your GP has prepared a Chronic Disease Management Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to five visits per calendar year.
